I usually discard it when the smoke gets really hot or it tastes bad.

That varies significantly from cigar to cigar. But on a good quality cigar, I usually smoke it down to the nub.

It really mellowed in a good way over the years.

Excellent cocoa and leather notes. Smooth, sophisticated and great San Andreas flavor without getting punched in the nose.
