Aramas is the third line from Tim Ozgener (whose father founded CAO) and his Ozgener Family Cigars company. Being of Armenian descent, the cigar takes its unique name from two variations of the Mount Ararat volcano at the borders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, and Turkey. The Armenian word for the volcano is Masis. This combines with Ararat to form Ara-Mas. In terms of tobacco, the cigars move production from Nicaragua (where the former Ozgener cigars were made) to the DR, making use of a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Connecticut Broadleaf.
