Not sure if this is the same cigar with a different name, mine says picadores on them, but they are bundle connecticuts. Very very good. For a mild cigar that can be had for $2, this has a depth and quality of flavor i’d expect from a Montecristo White Series. I’m impressed; this has unseated the prensado fumas as my favorite factory second. Also i’ve never gotten so many ‘that smells nice’ from my non-herfing friends.

these have been in the bottom of the humidor for about a year now. They’ve mild it out quite a bit and the first third is somewhat unremarkable but it opened up into this amazing mellow yet spicy happy place. Burning incredibly well for an old stick as well. It might have been a little over humidified at the time of lighting. Here’s to Pete andJanny!

I’ve always stood by the ‘smoke what you light’ philosophy and it’s helped develop my palate more than any other one thing i’ve done.

Was SUPER bitter on lighting but settled in to a nice medium smoke with the signature acid funk. Not bad. Not great, but i can’t give it a bad thumb just because i personally didn’t like it. It’s just not for me. Love the size though. I don’t get to smoke salomons every day. I wish the lighting experience hadn’t sent me running for my drink.

found this sitting in the back corner of my ‘workhorse’ humidor. Not all that good, but smokable. I think it’s been sitting back there for 10 years. it’s lost most of the infused flavor. i can’t thumb it down though because it still smoked well, still satisfied. As always, a good companion with coffee.

Good ol standby torpedo. This has been in the humi for a while, but it still has it’s own character. Very underrated and great for the price. Not fancy, but it does not offend, and it does satisfy.

huge thumbs up. This has been sitting in my humidor for over a year and it is fantastic. MF strikes again! Even burn, legendary draw, stayed cool throughout. Spicy with lots of notes of blackcurrant and coffee. This is the last of a three pack of tubos; guess I’ll be looking for another!

Got some *GREAT* local medium roast to go with it. It was packed and handed to me directly from the roaster on thursday! It was so fresh i had to let the beans rest to off-gas or the brew would foam too much!

Been a while since i’ve had a stick, my humidor has been maintained but my sticks are old. Cap cracked when i punched it but not too badly. Was kinda bitter in the first third but started getting nice and sweet in the middle and is currently pushing out some nice spice. It’s comforting all the same. Think i may have a few more today. No photo for now, i look like a muppet.

Robusto. Enjoyed out in a warm Arizona evening behind a warehouse with a near endless view of the skyline. Photos were sadly not allowed but this was an unobtrusive but delicious smoke to go along with good company and an amazing night.

‘Just a Friend’ (toro). Haven’t had a fire cured premium handrolled cigar before. Interesting experience. I could see these as a ‘once in a while to mix things up’ stick, but I also see why some people say it tastes like it’s already been smoked. At least they don’t go dry.

Ye olde torpedoe from the ‘poor man’ humidor… i need some better daily ‘gars. These don’t really excite me anymore. Still nice with coffee and spicy enough to not be completely boring. Really not a bad stick.. just… kinda unremarkable. (except for the pointiness! very pointy!)

usually not a huge fan of Gordos, but I really like this one. It’s just spicy enough to be interesting, and pretty damn high on the nicotine content. Nice way to relax after a long swim!

Churchill, delicious as always. A bit of an older one, the wrapper cracked but wasn’t a major problem. Classic, smooth, delicious, and imo the best of the exile brands as far as being close to the ‘real’ thing.

6×50 Toro Tubo from a pack of 3 i got for $27 from Total Wine. They’d just arrived and are nice and fresh but ready to smoke. Holy cow this is good. I’m only barely into the 2nd third and it’s absolutely full of flavor, stayed lit when i got distracted for 10 mins, and is just flat out one of the best under $10 sticks I’ve ever had. One of the better at any price actually. Great value too. Smooth and slow, refined and classic, yet bold and unique at the same time. I really can’t think of a cigar from those MFers I haven’t liked!

got an EEG today. i’ve been having neurological issues for quite some time now, starting with peripheral neuropathy, but now I’m getting random memory loss and having difficulty controlling my left leg sometimes. I enjoyed the cigar on the way home, it was a nice drive. I’ve never actually smoked while I drove before; it’s a much more pleasurable experience than I had anticipated! I really liked it. It’s a pity I don’t have an opportunity to do it more often because I don’t get to go for long drives very often, I stick to my neighborhood if I can. Good night dojo, thanks for all the fun and support over the years. I’m not going anywhere unless I can’t help it, so here’s to a bunch more! May your ash be long, and your cherry cool.

kind of old and a little bitter, but nothing against them for that. still lit and smoked ok. didn’t matter. i’m free. spent yesterday in a secured ward after a mental breakdown. Finally got them to let me out. This is sweet tasting regardless of anything, but it isn’t bad… still a decent flavored stick. Keep smokin’ on!

I like them. They’re a touch above mild. I could puff them all day. There’s nothing really super remarkable (other than the conspicuous size) but they’re a solid Nicaraguan long-filler/binder smoke. Smooth enough to retrohale for a beginner but not completely without character. I wouldn’t call them so much ‘subtle’ as ‘muted’. I order them regularly to keep myself from chain smoking my more expensive churchills. The ‘riverboat’ line is probably the best barber-pole I’ve found for the money too. Left this one in a humidifying tube for a couple months and forgot about it. Was super moist but a wonderful smoke; not as hard on the nicotine as I remember, but I guess I’ve got more tolerance now 😊

Fuente King T Rosado, not sure if this is the right entry but it’s close. Was a very smooth smoke with the exception of the middle, strong coffee and dark cocoa, almost bitter but not acrid. Not bad but wasn’t what I was expecting. Would certainly smoke again.

Wow, been a while since I had a stick again. Been busy; guess it’s a blessing though, I appreciate my smokes more now. This one really hit the spot. It was calling to me when I opened my box. These are really nice cigars; i just wish their prices didn’t mimic their cuban counterparts.

It was a poem of a cigar… like aging in reverse as it got shorter. The flavors that had mellowed with time built up and released themselves with every third. Just kept getting spicier and more sumptuous. Changes were noticeable and summed up everything I like about the Dominican Montecristo originals. I’m sad it’s gone, but glad it was here.
