Terra Nova Araperique is named for the cigar's unique Brazilian Araperique tobacco, which is included in the filler recipe. This tobacco is "matured using the ‚Method Perique‘ (layered in oak whisky barrels and matured under high pressure for at least a year) which is still based on the methods used by the Choctaw Indians." The blend begins with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, and includes an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and fillers of the Dominican Republic, Peru, Nicaragua, and Brazil.
