Nelson Alfonso and his Selected Tobacco company introduced the Nelson cigar in 2025, being made to pay homage to the Alfonson family legacy. The line features an Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper, an Ecuadorian binder, and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Peru. Rolled in Costa Rica, the cigars are then shipped to Spain for aging. There, they spend four years in carefully controlled rooms lined with five distinct types of cedar.
