Patina Oro de Nicaragua debuted in 2024 as the strongest cigar in Patina's portfolio. The Oro de Nicaragua was named after one of the first cigars to spark Patina owner, Mo Maali's, passion for the business, being a boutique offering from Casa de Montecristo in Chicago. Mo attempted to remake the cigar for its previous owners, which eventually led to Patina acquiring the rights to the brand and adding it to the company's core lineup. While the original cigars were rolled by My Father Cigars, the modern-day blend comes from the NACSA factory, making use of an Ecuadorian Habano oscuro wrapper, an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and Connecticut Broadleaf.
