The Oliva Serie V Roaring Twenties Super Limited Edition cigar debuted in 2023 as the most expensive release ever from Oliva Cigars, being set at $300 per cigar MSRP. The cigars were made as an ode to the exuberant, optimistic years that followed the repeal of prohibition and preceded the Great Depression. The cigars were based on the Oliva Serie V blend, using a core of all-Nicaraguan tobaccos and being topped with a high-priming sun-grown Habano wrapper from Ecuador. With this limited project, the cigars were rolled in an intricate 6" x 60 double perfecto format, complete with smokable Florentine gold foil (dubbed "the gilded shroud") that runs from the foot to nearly halfway up the cigar. This was a nod to humidor maker Daniel Marshall, famous for creating the Daniel Marshall 24kt Golden Cigar—a cigar coated head to toe in smokable gold foil. Additionally, the Oliva Serie V Roaring Twenties Super Limited Edition is packaged in substantial humidor-grade boxes, which were built by Daniel Marshall. Finally, Oliva justifies the price, donating one hundred percent of proceeds to the Oliva Helping Hands Foundation, which helps provide schooling/childcare for children in Nicaragua. The project was limited to 300 boxes (3,000 cigars) for the 2023 release.
