While Oliva has been showcasing new releases in the Edición Limitada series (based on the Serie V Melanio line) since 2017, the company rebranded the project as Edición Año in 2022. As such, the Oliva Serie V Melanio Edición Año 2024 marks the third release in the updated line. The cigars feature the same Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper and Nicaraguan core blend seen on the Melanio blend, being rolled in a 5½" x 60 format. Additionally, the 2024 release was accompanied by custom music written by French musician Paul Montag, intended to be listened to while smoking the cigar, which offers a unique multi-sensory experience.
