La Palina 1948 debuted in 2023 in celebration of Bill Paley's (owner of La Palina) 75th birthday, as he was born in March 1948. The cigars feature a retro look and feel from the '40s, including imagery of both Estelí, Nicaragua and Manhattan, New York in 1948. La Palina 1948 was rolled by the Oliva family, making use of a two-year-aged Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper and all-Nicaraguan binder/filler from the Oliva farms.
