Originally rolled a century before the cigars' 2023 redux, the Angel Cuesta is named for Angel LaMadrid Cuesta, one of two founders of the original Cuesta-Rey cigar brand. For its return, J.C. Newman has incorporated a refined recipe, including an Ecuadorian Habano rosado wrapper and binder/fillers from three countries. The cigars are handcrafted in the company's boutique-minded section (dubbed 'The American Room') of their historic El Reloj factory in Tampa, Fla, with only two torcedores handling the entirety of daily production, which is limited to 150 cigars per day.
