The El Politico cigar was originally made for PCA Deputy Director, Joshua Habursky, as a personal cigar that could be gifted in place of a traditional business card. The cigars were made for Josh by Luciano Meirelles of Tabacalera Pichardo, using a high-priming Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, a Costa Rican binder, and all-Nicaraguan fillers. The cigars are now more widely distributed, where 50 cents of the proceeds for each sale go back into the Premium Cigar Association.
