Azul y Oro is the first cigar from Crowned Heads to be rolled out of the NACSA factory of Estelí, Nicaragua. The cigar's origin story dates back to 2011, where CH founders Mike Conder and Jon Huber met with Gustavo Cura of Oliva Tobacco Co. and NACSA fame. The duo gifted Gustavo a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label, which he has kept unopened in remembrance of their friendship. As the cigar signifies a new manufacturing partner for Crowned Heads, Azul y Oro (translating to Blue and Gold) showcases branding and profile elements modeled after the Scotch whisky. The limited-edition cigar includes an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a Nicaraguan (Jalapa) binder, and fillers of Nicaragua (including three unique regions) and the Dominican Republic.
