BLACKENED S84 by Drew Estate

The celeb-class collaboration of Drew Estate and BLACKENED Whiskey began in 2022 with the BLACKENED M81 by Drew Estate cigar. The second release in the line arrived two years later with BLACKENED S84 "Shade to Black" by Drew Estate, once again featuring the collective talents of James Hetfield (Metallica), Rob Dietrich (BLACKENED Whiskey), and Drew Estate's Jonathan Drew and Willy Herrera. While the original's codified "M81" name represented Metallica's 1981 founding, the "S84" signifies the band's 1984 sophomore album, Ride the Lightning, with the cigar's name playing off the "Fade to Black" track. Like the M81 cigar, the S84 utilizes hearty maduro leaves throughout the binder and filler, including a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and fillers of Nicaraguan maduro and Pennsylvania Broadleaf. The primary differentiator is the S84's new Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, contrasting the conventionally mellow wrapper with a dark, robust interior recipe.
