I tried to get a picture that did justice to how toothy this thing was. Great construction. Nice slow even burn. Lots of earth and coffee, with some bakers chocolate creeping in. Nothing wild or crazy about it, just what I consider a solid classic maduro.

My thumbs down is not a reflection of the blen, more of this blend in a lancero. Had a lot of burn issues starting it, and it was plugged. I think with this particular blend in this particular vitola, the wrapper is overpowering a lot of the notes coming from the other tobaccos.

In the last third, the pepper returned in force. The cedar is now much more prominent. All in all would smoke again.

In the second third, the cedar was kind of playing peek a boo till the tail end where it settled being as prominent as the coffee. I am finding I have to puff more often than average to keep it lit. I don’t tend to have to break out the lighter to fix bun issues, I did have to once. Towards the tail end both of these burn issue have resolved themselves. Through the first half inch. Plenty of black pepper and black coffee, with slightly less prominent cedar. I cut the cap with a deep v and the draw is perfect

Went for something a little lighter this friday. Was a bit worried after the first few puffs as all i was getting was pepper and cedar, non of the creamyness i was expecting. After about a quarter inch the pepper died down to be replaced by sweet cream. Im a bit suprised by the nice medium body on a cigar with this light of wrapper.

I dont dmoke enough lanceros. Picked this one up at an espinosa event yesterday. Not really getting much of the apple ive heard about, maybe hints. Lots of pepper, maybe some baking chocolate, and lots of earthy tones, maybe like a cedar or patchouli. Very good. Impressed they managed to box press a lancero and not end up with it feeling underfilled. What are your go to lanceros?

It’s times like this I wish I had a nubber. I’ve found I really enjoy the wrapper on certain smokes, and will go for the smaller ring gauges to get a little more flavor from them.
