Evening Dojo, body feels wrecked so just smoking two tonight, starting with the 601 Black which, unsurprisingly, doesn’t taste like the Crema. I really enjoyed this cigar. I can definitely tell, however, this was an early attempt at a more mild-medium Connecticut cigar. It was definitely a creamy cedar cigar, which I like. I just want more, and I definitely will smoke it again to see if I can get more notes!

Following the Nub, I decided to try out the Espinosa Sumatra, and I really wanted to be wowed, but unfortunately, nothing really stood out. It is a sweet cigar with some creamy wood notes and some nice pepper retrohales; however, throughout the cigar, I got some moist notes, likely a mistake on my end. Next time I grab one, I believe some time in the dry box will benefit this stick greatly. I’m not going to fault the cigar, as it may very well be my new favorite Sumatra; next time will tell! I probably need to invest in a CigarMedic humidity checker, lol.

Good evening, Dojo! Today was an excellent time to cap it off with a cigar. I’m getting ready to smoke some new cigars this week for the Cigar Ranker and reviews. I’ve been told recently at my home shop that I should publish my reviews, but I’m still not comfortable, so the Ranker is the next best thing! I’m starting off with the Leaf Connecticut Lancero. I’m always shocked by how peppery and spicy this stick is, but I like that in cigars!

Final cigar before I hit the road. Decided to try out the Yellow Rose, a big fan of this Broadleaf and vitola. It delivered a nice creamy spiciness and slight leather throughout, with a nice sweet vanilla and espresso in the background. Towards the end, I started to pick up some earthiness and barnyard notes and hints of saltiness, which I always welcome! Definitely going to be picking up more of these at the shop!

Second cigar of the day: a Speed Shop. When I first smoked this, when it came out, it was bitter, but I felt the main notes trying to shine through. Thankfully, I said to myself it needed some rest, and oh yeah, that was the right call. After a couple of months, this baby is good, not super groundbreaking, but it's a Habano I'll smoke again. This is definitely a mild to medium stick, with a pretty big lean toward mild, but the notes still come through: nice pepper and bready notes and some subtle cream throughout.

Finally back home and needed a cigar. Trying out the Stolen Throne Yorktown Fleet, it’s an average cigar. It has all my favorite notes that I get in a Sumatra wrapper, but nothing jumped out at me. I will smoke it again eventually, but it’s not my favorite from the Stolen Throne lineup.
