Smoked a Gordo San Cristobal Papagayo. A rich coffee and heavy chocolate with a little spice on the tongue. Overall, a great cigar, and I am looking to buy some more as I only bought one to see if it was good. I did drink Mexican Coke with it, next time I think I will try with some Bourbon.

So I have 12 Tupperware 7.25″ X 11″ X 4.5″ along with a larger plastic (Semi Airtight) box to hold my 600 cigars. I am looking at a Schmécké 400 Cigar Cooler Humidor. But the issue that I have is I would like to keep a few of my boxes unopened. I do have military surplus ammunition boxes that are airtight that will fit my sealed boxes. My only issue is that they do have the munitions odor, is there any suggestions on cleaning these to utilize them for long term storage?

I smoked the Gordo this evening and the last 3rd was dry and the draw degraded significantly. I have not had this issue with the Robusto or the Toro. I am not sure if this is due to the size or not.

I have a bizarre question regarding smoking larger ring cigars. I have smoked 2 Gordo size cigars and by the last 3rd they tend to be drier and the draw degrades significantly. Are there any tricks to keep the cigar from drying out?

I had my first one the other day. It felt firm and I used a V cut but it has to have been the loosest draw that I have had in a long time. Below is how I have seen how cigars are scored. Does anyone actually know where the numbers came from and the actual breakdown in the criteria for each category?

Total – SCORE ***/100

1) APPEARANCE **/15

2) FLAVORS **/24

3) CONSTRUCTION **/21

4) PRICE */4

5) OVERALL **/36

These numbers just seem so arbitrary to me. I just go with:

LIKE – Buy again.

DISLIKE – Do not buy again.

Well worth the money, even burn, great draw. I liked it so much last time, I bought a box of the Robustos and a box of the Coronas.
