Hermanos de Armas is a veteran-owned cigar company founded by Andray F. McCuien, a retired U.S. Army Signal Chief Warrant Officer 3, and Zack Van Ginkel, a U.S. Air Force veteran, with a mission to craft premium, hand-rolled cigars that embody the camaraderie of military service. Operating out of the Oveja Negra factory, HDA uses high-quality Nicaraguan tobaccos from regions like Ometepe, Condega, Estelí, and Jalapa throughout the majority of their blends. Inspired by McCuien’s experiences sharing cigars during his 2008 deployment to Iraq, the company emphasizes traditional craftsmanship and robust flavors, ensuring each cigar reflects the founders’ personal standards and dedication to the bonds forged in service.
