Blue Mountain Cigars was created in 1995 by Marvin Wright and his wife, Jacqueline. The company traces its roots back to Jamaica, where Wright's father once grew tobacco. Additionally, the name is a spin on the Blue Mountain Coffee of Jamaica. While born in Jamaica, Wright honed his cigarmaking skills in Cuba, and today crafts Blue Mountain Cigars in Nicaragua.
