Tatuaje 50th

Pete Johnson began the Tatuaje 50th project in 2019, roughly a year before his 50th birthday: December 7, 2020. The cigars were rolled in two formats—5½" x 52 Robusto Especial and 6½" x 52 Toro Especial—being crafted out of the Garcías' boutique-style factory in the US. In terms of blend, the Tatuaje 50th is all-Nicaraguan, being finished with a shade-grown Corojo '99 leaf. All tobaccos were said to be three to five years aged when rolled in late 2019 / early 2020. The cigars were packaged in 10-count boxes (limited to 5,000 cigars for each size), eventually being released in the spring of 2025.
