Matilde Serena Maduro is the first regular-production release from Matilde since the cigar's predecessor: Matilde Serena. Unlike the original, which offered a milder experience and a Connecticut wrapper, the Serena Maduro uses a dark Mexican San Andrés maduro leaf. With a new binder as well (Dominican Criollo '98), the blend maintains a softer smoking experience, slightly increasing the strength and complexity. The filler recipe carries over from the original, including Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos.
