La Flor Dominicana's Solis cigar is the first project by Litto Gomez Jr., son of company founder, Litto Gomez, and the younger brother of Tony Gomez. The name stems from the Latin word sol, which translates to the sun. As such, the cigars make use of a sun-grown Habano wrapper, used in conjunction with a Sumatran binder and Dominican fillers from the family's La Canela farm.
