The Española Corojo cigar came about as an offshoot of JM Tobacco's Española Year of the Dragon release in 2024. With the line proving successful, the company adopted the blend as part of their core Española line, which dates back to 1996. Differing from the limited YOTD release, the Española Corojo moves from the Tabacalera Turey factory to Blackbird Cigar Factory. The blend is said to remain intact, featuring an Ecuadorian Corojo Habano wrapper, a Mexican San Andrés maduro binder, and fillers of Dominican Olor seco and ligero.
