La Vereda is the most premium cigar in Crowned Heads' lineup. The blend was made in collaboration with cigar Hall of Famer Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, making use of a shade-grown wrapper from the Jalapa region of Nicaragua (aged four years), a Jalapa binder, and a mix of fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic (all tobaccos are said to be aged a minimum of three years). The name stems from a song called “De Camino a La Vereda” by the Cuban band Buena Vista Social Club, which Carrillo played frequently during the cigar's development.
