In 2019, CAO expanded on the Flathead line with a limited spinoff dubbed CAO Flathead V19. This trend continued two years later with the CAO Flathead V21, forming an "every other year" release strategy by 2023. The line picked back up with the CAO Flathead V23 cigar, being made to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Le Mans endurance race in France. Specifically, the V23 tips the cap to America's greatest era in the race, where the Ford GT40 MK1 won the race consecutively from 1966-1969. Influence from this car can be found throughout the cigar's name/packaging/color scheme. The cigar was rolled in a single 6" x 60 box-pressed format, making use of a wrapper from the Jamastran region of Honduras, a Nicaraguan Habano binder, and fillers of Brazilian Mata Fina, Honduras (viso from Jamastran), and Nicaragua (viso from Jalapa and ligero from Estelí).
