The Buena Vista brand first made its rounds in the early 2010s, attempting to showcase the most Cubanesque smoking experience possible outside of Cuba. The cigars were rolled in Mexico by authentic Cuban torcedores who were given special visas from Cuba, and the cigars used Ecuadorian leaves that the company considered "the only place on earth that literally replicates the famous Pinar del Rio tobacco-growing region of Cuba." The brand was revived in 2014, moving production to the DR. In the modern era, Buena Vista is said to have been taken over by Raymond Pages, producing the brand out of his factory in Nicaragua.
