Pappy Van Winkle Barrel Fermented Flying Pig

Word of the mystery-enshrouded Pappy Van Winkle Barrel Fermented cigar first began making its way through cigar circles in 2012, though the cigars did not materialize until 2015. Four years later, the famed Flying Pig size was added to the line, which is a short/stout perfecto (3 15/16" x 60) with an oversized pigtail head. In terms of blend, the cigars do not feature any aging with the namesake Pappy Van Winkle bourbon. Instead, there is a dual wrapper (Mexican San Andrés and Kentucky Tapa Negra), a Nicaraguan binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and Kentucky. Finally, the Kentucky portions of the blend are pressed in spent whiskey barrels, using a pressurized process similar to what is used with pipe tobaccos.
