Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Diamante

In 2020, Altadis USA introduced the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua cigar, which was spearheaded by Altadis' Rafael Nodal and Master Blender A.J. Fernández. The cigar was critically acclaimed, going on to receive Cigar Aficionado's No. 2 Cigar of the Year award in 2021. But this was not the only blend to come out of the cigar's planning sessions, and in 2023, another such blend materialized as the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Diamante. Milder than the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua original, the Diamante boasts a low-priming wrapper from a hybrid Cuban-seed plant grown in Nicaragua's Jalapa region. The cigar also includes a Criollo binder from Ometepe and all-Nicaraguan filler from Estelí.
