Details
The Perez-Carrillo Pledge Purple cigar arrived roughly six years after the original EPC Pledge cigar it drew inspiration from. This was due to the fact that Ernesto Perez-Carrillo had set aside a portion of the Havana-seed Connecticut wrapper used on the first run of Pledge cigars in 2020. Sourced from Dunn & Foster out of the Connecticut River Valley, the leaves were close to a decade old at the time of Pledge Purple's debut. The interior blend was tweaked for the Purple, featuring a Mexican binder and Nicaraguan fillers from the regions of Estelí, Condega, and Ometepe. AT launch, the cigars were offered in a single 6" x 54 size, being limited to 3,500 boxes of 10.
